Shane Campbell was born in March 31, 1954 in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Campbell grew up in Tennessee where his family moved within a year after he was born. His father, Jack Campbell, was an antique dealer and wood carver and Shane always admired his work. Shane quit his job with a Fortune 500 company one day to follow the need to create. He says he is just like his father with "a passion for his work, with each carving being a form of expression - an extension of himself, his heart, his soul."

Shane Campbell's work is included in the collection of the Mennello Museum in Orlando, Florida, the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum in Santa Barbara, California, and can also be found at the American Visionary Museum in Baltimore, Maryland.
